Schools gamble for revenue share

August 18, 2011Kendall Anthony Cheramie, 51, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 2:55 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011.
He is survived by his father, Wilton (Debra) Cheramie; mother, Linda (Peter) Rodrigue; son, Lance (Daisy) Cheramie; daughter, Misty (Michael Jr.) Pontiff; brothers, Wendell, Mitchel and Fabian Cheramie; sister, Priscilla Sanca; stepbrothers, Keith Landry and Dean Rodrigue; stepsisters, Pamela Tregle and Peggy Benoit; grandparents, Horace and Eve Pierce; and one granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Widman and Liza Cheramie, William and Doris Martin and Denis and Elma Rodrigue.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Samart Funeral Home in Houma with services to follow. (Samart)
