Levi Woodrow Wilson, 76, a native and resident of Morgan City, La., died Friday, Sept. 4, at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.

He leaves to cherish his memories 12 children, Mrs. Anthony (Loretta) Barnes of Beaumont, Texas, Perry Wilson, Patricia F. Carter, Michael (Jessie) Francois, Mrs. Douglas (Flora) Allen, Bernard Francois, Carliss Francois, Rhonda Francois, David Francois, Kathaleen Wilson, all of Morgan City, Mrs. Terrance (Angelette) Cross of Lafayette, La., and Richard (Anna) Wilson of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Daniel Wilson and Charles Wilson, both of Morgan City; two sisters, Ruby W. Clemens of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs Anthony (Gloria) Johnson of Morgan City; 28 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many loving family members and friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and two brothers.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at New Mt. Esther Baptist Church in Sircusaville, La. with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Morgan City Cemetery.

Jones Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
