Lucille Marie Portier Dupre, 84, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died Saturday, January 26, 2008.


She is survived by three daughters, Bonnie Domangue and husband, Aubrey, Lynette LeBlanc and husband, Hubert, of Chauvin and Nell Rodrigue and husband, Michael, of Houma, La.; eight grandchildren, Carroll Domangue, Burt Domangue, Thomas Domangue, Monica Breaux, Melissa Lyons, Michelle Pinell, Jessica Frisella and Jodi Lirette; and 15 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynus Dupre; her parents, Clovis Portier Sr. and Mila White Portier; one sister, Louise P. Neal; seven brothers, Wilton, Trasimond, Maurice, Clovis Jr., Wilson Sr., Willard and Nolan Portier Sr.; and one grandchild, Jimmy Domangue.

Lucille was a homemaker and a member of the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Altar Society and Ward 7. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2008, and 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
