Magnus Peter Dupre, 78, a native of Houma and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013.
Mr. Dupre was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. He was the owner of Dupre’s Cafe’, a trawler and trapper and worked for the parish for years. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Wade (Tanya) Dupre; daughters, Belinda (Michael) Sonier, Tanya (Bruce) Hutchinson, Myrna (Art) Babin, Melanie (Terrell) Nowlin, Katrina (Bosco) Naquin and Stephanie (Rudy) Pierce; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Dupre; parents, Caliste and Lillian Dupre; son, Kim Dupre; brothers, Miller, Tony, Hanson and Allen Dupre; sisters, Lillian Songe and Enola Bollinger; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb 4, at Chauvin Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery. (Chauvin)
