May Roddy Authement, 94, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died Wednesday, Oct. 7.
She is survived by two sons, Sterling and Arnold Authement; one daughter, Judy Jackson; two sisters, Lois Danos and Mary Ann Domangue; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Israel Authement; parents, Lawrence Roddy Sr. and Sarah Pinell Roddy; one daughter, Margie Thibodaux; four brothers, Henry, Preston, Denise and Lawrence Roddy Jr.; and three daughters, Alice Martin, Annie Guidry and Doris Neal.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home in Houma, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
