Melinda Blanche Ledet, 49, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Paradis, La., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14.
She is survived by her husband, Lucian Clancy; three dogs, Saddi, Tinker and T-Joe; two brothers, Dane P. Ledet Sr. and wife Louise, and Keith John Ledet; two sisters, Wanda L. Gaidry and husband Wilson, and Lisa Kay Ledet and companion Sandra Waalk; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland Joseph Ledet Sr. and Doris Prestenbach Ledet; one brother, Leland Joseph Ledet Jr.; one sister-in-law, Kathy Bourg; and grandparents, Tesmun and Eva Prestenbach and Elie and Evella Ledet.
Melinda’s life ended way too soon and she will be missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. She was always ready to offer help to anyone who needed assistance.
A celebration of her life was held Monday, Oct. 19, at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church.
Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
