Nathaniel “Nat” Lewis, 79, a native of Plattenville, La., and resident of Labadieville, La., died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011.
Mr. Lewis was a retired Assistant Superintendent and Interim Superintendent of the Assumption Public School System and a U.S. Army veteran. He was the head athletic coach at the former W.H. Reed High School, served as principal of Napoleonville Junior High School and past director of transportation for the Assumption Parish Public School.
He is survived by his wife, Octavia Lewis; daughter, Natalie Lewis; sister, Alice (Joe) O’Neal; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Rita Lewis; and brothers, Albert and Arthur Lewis.
Burial was at Wesley United Methodist Church Cemetery in Napoleonville, La. (Williams & Southall)
