Nolan Jackson, a native of Cut Off, La., and a resident of Chesterfield, Va., died Tuesday, July 21, at 1p.m.

He is survived by two daughters, Terror J. Thorne and husband Ronald of Chesterfield, and Beatrice J. Manuel of Harvey, La.; one son, Tony Jackson and wife Jeanette of Jacksonville, Fla.; one stepson, Oscar Gayle and wife Yvonne of Larose, La.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Jackson; mother, Gertrude Nelson; stepfather, Eric Nelson; one daughter, Leatrice J. Cotton; one brother, Clarence Jackson; one sister Celeste N. Blackledge; and one step-son, Stanley Turner.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired employee for the City of Gretna, La.

He was cremated.

Angelus Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
