Sidney P. Fields, 82, a native of Chacahoula, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, April 11, at 11:44 a.m.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Richard Fields; daughters, Connie Gaudet and husband Calvin, and Gay Hutchinson and husband Dale Sr.; sisters, Sal Triagle and Doris Moses; grandchildren, Melissa Duplantis and husband Dane, Kristina Allemand and husband Jeremy, Shellie Malbrough and husband Joshua, Pixie Talbot and husband Jeremy, and Dale Hutchinson Jr. and wife Megan; and great-grandchildren, Kaelyn and Jacelyn Duplantis, Drake Allemand, Dylan, Madeline, Angelique Malbrough, Hutch and Brooke Talbot and Isabella Naquin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Darville Fields and Flavie Pontiff Fields; brothers, Johnny, Haze, Albert and Alfred; and sisters, Verna Williams and Erna Durcher.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Christ the Redeemer Church in Thibodaux with mass to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.
Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
