Tanya Denise Murphy Nelson, 41, a native and resident of Napoleonville, La., died Saturday, Sept. 12, at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by her parents, Archie and Daniel Murphy Sr.; three brothers; Daniel Jr. and wife Dana Murphy, Eric Murphy and Jerome Murphy; one sister, Robin Murphy; nine aunts; seven uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rose Murphy and Alice Carroll; and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at Williams & Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville, and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at St. John Baptist Church in Napoleonville. A religious service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial at the church cemetery.
Williams & Southall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
