Thelma Harris Redmond, 90, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, July 24.


She is survived by two daughters, Odette Keller and Gwendolyn Harding, both of Thibodaux, two godchildren, Carolyn Moore and David Zeno, both of Thibodaux; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Redmond; parents, Ben Sr. and Lizzie Harris; three brothers, Ben Harris Jr., Leonard Ruffin and Ike Harris; three sisters, Palestine Harris, Melvina Jackson and Kate Livas; and one grandson, Troy Keller.

She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church where she served on the Deaconess Board. She was also a member of the choir.

A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, at Morning Star Baptist Church on Johnson Ridge followed by burial at Blue Lilly Cemetery on Johnson Ridge.

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
