Urline “Mimi” Chabaud Hymel, 92, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Bourg, La., entered the gates of Heaven Monday, Sept. 28, at 7:30 a.m.

She is survived by one daughter, Lynndell Guedry and husband Clayton; three grandchildren, Fred Guedry and fiance’ Debbie, Paula White and husband Timmy, and Phyllis Guedry; and five great-grandchildren, Marissa, Joseph and Jenna Guedry, and Lindsay and Gabrielle White.

Mimi loved to cook and entertain for her extended family and friends. Lots of love and laughter were shared by all who came into her life. She will be remembered for her devotion to the Blessed Mother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church and a 1934 graduate of St. Joseph’s High School in New Orleans.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society or St. Ann Catholic Church would be appreciated.
