Westley Williams, 57, a native of Mathews, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011.
Mr. Williams was a member of St. Mathews Missionary Baptist Church and the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Williams; mother, Josephine Williams; sons, Westley Blackledge, Dontrell Mathews and Devin Jackson; daughters, Bernice Poindexter, Cherkah Robinson and Gloria, Nicole, Brandy and Ashley Williams; brothers, Egerald Sr., Lionel, Vernell and Johnell and Arthur Williams; sisters, Enola Robinson, Eatel Williams, Octavia Alexander, Edether and Daisy Gray, Evella Owens, and Josephine Jackson; 69 grandchildren; 138 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Williams; brothers, Simuel and Arbor Williams; sisters, Beverly Harper and Olister Smith; and grandparents, Issac and Octavia Atkins and Westley and Olister Williams
Burial was at St. Mathews Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Mathews. (Kennedy)
