Willie Isom Sr., 76, a native and resident of Vacherie, La., died at his home Saturday, April 5.
He is survived by his daughters, Zina Simon and husband, James, Samantha I. Johnson and Sarah Isom of Vacherie; sons, Alonzo Isom and wife, Carmen, Farrel Isom of Vacherie and Willie Isom Jr. and wife, Sandra, of Kingwood, Tx.; brothers, Joseph and Norris Isom; sisters, Alice Steib, Ethel Howard, Lottie Mitchell and Josephine Kennedy; six grandchildren; and numerous relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Steib Isom; his parents, Laura and John Isom Sr.; and son, John Isom Jr.
He was a retired laborer.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in south Vacherie with mass to follow. He will be buried at the church mausoleum.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville, La. is in charge of the arrangements.
