Jewel Dean McDaniel Kraemer, 81 passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 12:32am. Jewel was a native of Sunflower, MS and a resident of Houma, LA.
Family and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00am until 11:00am. Burial will follow visitation at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
Jewel is survived by her children, Gary Tidwell, Judy Tidwell, Nancy Albritton, Bobby Tidwell, Jimmy Donald; sisters, Faye Sandford, Dot Prestige, Nell Jordan, Bernice Hill, Mabel Kirkpatrick; brothers, Walter McDaniel, Tommy McDaniel, Richard McDaniel; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Jewel is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Kraemer; son, Richard Tidwell and Tommy Tidwell; parents, Dewey and Etoy Dorman McDaniel; sister, Lois Turtleville, brothers, Wilber McDaniel, William McDaniel.
Jewel was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She served her community in Ocean Springs, MS as a police officer. Jewel also served the local community as a nurse at Terrebonne General Medical Center for many years. One of Jewel’s favorite pastimes was drinking coffee and visiting with family and friends, and playing bingo.
