Shirley Mae Rhodes Donaldson, 92, passed away on January 8, 2021 at 12:15pm. Shirley was a native and resident of Houma, LA.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 9:00am until 10:30am. A of Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church in Houma, LA will begin on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 11:00am. Burial will follow services in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery in Houma, LA.
Shirley is survived by her children, Barbara Gaidry, Donna Michel and husband Bodie, Roland “Jay” Donaldson III and wife Bethany; grandchildren, Jamie Gaidry, Beau Michel, Meghan Michel, Chloe Donaldson, Ryan Donaldson, Michelle Eunice and Troy Eunice; and numerous loving great grandchildren.
Shirley is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roland Donaldson Jr.; parents, Lanny Rhodes and Clara Legendre Rhodes; daughters, Charlene Donaldson and Laura Duplantis; grandchildren, Sherry Eunice and Nicholas Duplantis.
Shirley enjoyed spending time dancing, playing Keno and other card games, watching old T.V. shows and also enjoyed watching gameshows with family and friends.
Shirley will be remembered, never forgotten and always loved by the lives she has touched over her lifetime.
The family would like to thank Dr’s Dickie and Scott Haydel and Dr. Matt Watkins for their support and care given to Shirley and family.
