Macey Marie LaCoste, 46, a native of DuLarge went to be with Jesus on Saturday, June 24, 2023, while surrounded by her loving family. Macey was brave and fought hard during her short illness, but she is now walking the streets of gold, pain free with all her loved ones in heaven!
She had a caring, giving heart! Macey spent half her life doing for other people. Many days and nights she spent sitting with sick family and friends. She loved shopping and giving gifts to all the kids and even adults. She will be greatly missed and irreplaceable.
Macey had many things she enjoyed doing in life. She loved going different places to play Bingo. Macey also liked going with friends to listen to bands, especially her favorite, Southern Boyz. She also enjoyed going to Biloxi with Lyle,family and friends. She loved shopping at the gift shops.
Macey is survived by her 2 God Daughters Rosa Anna Clair Cauthen and Alana Brooke Cauthen, whom she helped raised; 4 sisters: Stacy Liner(Ralph), Shannon Liner(Kevin), Sandy LaCoste and Dolly Rogers(Chad); 3 brothers: Travis LaCoste(Priscilla), Tracey LaCoste(Roxanne) and Gannon LaCoste.; brother-in-law Barry Duplantis; many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Lyle DeHart; her parents Julius “Sammy” and Dolores “Glo” Lacoste; her sister, Casey LaCoste Duplantis; maternal grandparents Vincent and Nora Lovell and paternal grandparents Adam and Edna LaCoste.
Special thanks to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Infusion Center Staff and her favorite nurse Megan. A visitation will be held in her honor on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, 635 Bayou Blue Rd., from 9:00 am until the Service at 12:00 pm.
