Matthew Savoie, 52, a resident and native of Houma, passed away on November 14, 2023.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 20, 2023, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, West Park from 4:00 pm until the funeral service starting at 7:00 pm.
He is survived by his wife, Krista Chauvin Savoie; son, Kameron Savoie; mother, Sylvia Falgout Savoie; brothers, Eric Savoie (Sally) and James Savoie; sisters, Marie Brunet (Ivy), Lorrie Scranton (Joseph), Kimberly Hebert; sister-in-law, Roslyn Savoie; in-laws, Ron and Brenda Hunt; brother-in-law, Sean (Amy) Chauvin; sister-in-laws, Meghan (Tim) Whitten and Jamiee (Chris) Bonvillain; followed by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Savoie; and his brother, Wyatt Savoie.
Matt was a loving husband and father. He was dedicated to his family and friends. He worked at Southland Dodge and Southland of Thibodaux for 29 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working on cars, and doing wood work. Matt loved working in the yard and with his hands. He was a jokester and his latest thing was sending crazy TikToks. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is finally pain free and can rest.
