Nicholls’ head football coach Jay Thomas is holding his Elite Football Camp this Sunday, June 7, at Nicholls State University.

Registration for the camp is currently closed, but campers are reminded to arrive prepared to practice with both football cleats and tennis shoes.

No helmets or other pads will be used.

Thomas is reminding campers to arrive at camp between noon and 1 p.m. on Sunday in the Century Club Room on the west side of the football stadium.

The camp is designed for student-athletes entering their junior or senior year in high school to get instructed by the Colonels’ coaching staff.

Fundamentals and techniques will be taught for quarterbacks, wide receivers, running backs, offensive linemen, defensive linemen, linebackers and defensive backs.

Camp begins at 1 p.m. with position drills at 2:30 p.m. and one-on-one competitions getting under way at 3:15 p.m.

The day-long camp concludes at 4 p.m.
