Leslia Rice

Leslia “Susie” Mills Rice, 53, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018. Susie was surrounded by her loving family when she transitioned from this world into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior. She was a native of Collinsville, Mississippi and a resident of Houma.

Susie is survived by her husband of 13 years, Charles Bryan Rice; son, Jared Dewayne Parten; daughters, Brittany Layne Parten Robinson and husband, Cary, Abigail Marie Rice and Audrey Helen Rice; grandchildren, Emma Brooke and Cary Jesse D. Robinson; father, Calvin E. Mills; mother, Fleeta Mayatt Mills and step-father, Larry Smith; and sisters, Rhonda Taylor and husband Jimmy, and Gina Mills and Chris White.

Susie was blessed with a beautiful family. She was extraordinary in many ways. She had so much love in her heart and extended her love to her patients while working as a registered nurse. She was loving, compassionate, hard-working, punctual, extraordinary, wife, mother and grandmother. Above all, Susie adored her children and grandchildren.
