Wild Plate Frozen adds value to Louisiana shrimp

A few more locals will be enjoying a more comfortable holiday season through an initiative to fill pantries across the area that wraps up this weekend. Operation Pull Pantry, established in 20(14. is a volunteer and community-based food drive stemming from a desire to help the numerous neighbors living in the area that often go without.


Each year Operation Pull Pantry chooses a few very special organizations to give the donated items to. This year’s recipients include The Hunger Relief Project Louis Children’s Crisis Center; and MacDonell Children’s Services.

Terrebonne and Lafourche parish businesses have partnered far a fifth year with Operation Full Pantry as drop-off locations for the initiative. Multiple locations are also offering giveaways or drawings in exchange for your donations. Drop-off locations include: Allegiance Home Lending, U-Drop Packing and Shipping. Envy Boutique, Root 2 Rise, Assurance Financial. Downtown Jeaux, The Boxer & the Barrel. The Salon Rubicon, bremly, Anela’s, Motility Auto Glass, Planet Fitness, Eric Landry Allstate Insurance, Terrebonne Ford, Saint Matthew’s Episcopal School, Keller Williams Real Estate. Creole Lanes Bowling Alley, Felger’s Footwear, Houma Tang Soo Do, American South Mortgage Lending Houma & Thibodaux Latter & Blum Thibodaux. The Realty Group of South Louisiana, Orange Leaf, Century 21 Houma, New York Bagel Cafe and Deli, Paddy Dance School of Dance, Big Daddy’s Pub & Grub, Propriete Shoppe, Zach’s Famous Frozen Yogurt, Digestive Health Center; Eye Care Specialties, Fig Cafe, La Carreta, Intracoastal Club, Bayou Home Care. On the Canal Bar, Barnes Rehabilitation Center. Hampton Inn & Suites, Nick J. Hebert Interior and Event Design, Bayou Region Real Estate, Interline Mortgage Service LLC. Randall Alfred A PLC. Walther Animal Clinic, and the Terrebonne Pariah Folklife Center.

On Saturday, the Operation Full Pantry board of directors and multiple volunteers will join together with the participating businesses for a final day of giving. Community members are invited to continue bringing donations to any of the drop-off points during regular business hours or the main drop-off point at Town & Country Real Estate. 5068 West Main Street, in Houma The main drop-off point will be open from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.


“This is a very easy way to participate in something wonderful,” said Jonathan Foret in a past interview with The Times “You could sign up to volunteer at the main drop-off point but it doesn’t even have to be that You pick up some groceries, you drop it off at the drop-off point Saturday and you’ve helped Operation Full Pantry makes it easy fin: people to participate in something; wonderful that helps people.
