Raleigh J. Lasseigne, 73 a native and resident of Grand Isle, passed away of cancer with his loving family at his side Tuesday, June 5, 2018.
Raleigh is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kay Danos Lasseigne; children, Floyd and wife, Julie Lasseigne, Gail Lasseigne and husband, Beedon Cheramie, and Cindy Lasseigne and husband, James Trahan; brother, Jefferson “Co” Lasseigne; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Raleigh loved sitting and rocking on the swing telling old stories of Grand Isle to his customers. He was a commercial fisherman and landlord. He loved riding his 4-wheeler with his dog Bella Raleigh loved to work.
