“Dr. James ‘Jim’ Joseph Rumore, Sr. and I had bonded over our shared passion for diverse cuisines and their cultural context, and when I learned of his untimely passing at age 67, I decided to honor him by making a financial contribution in his name to the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute at Nicholls,” said Mark Sindler.

Nicholls State University’s family-oriented campus offers more than 60 degree programs, 100+ student organizations and 17 Division I athletic teams!

"The institute's purpose is to share with Nicholls' students the wisdom and experience of successful leaders in business and politics, especially those common leadership principles that have guided their success within business and politics,” Billy Tauzin said.

The Chef John Folse Culinary Institute at Nicholls State University is set to host its Connecting to Africa Champagne Brunch fundraiser on Saturday, April 29 at 11:30 a.m. in the Ledet Culinary Arts Building.
