"The Supreme Court is honored and grateful to receive the award from the LBF, which is a truly outstanding group consisting of judges and attorneys who volunteer their time, talent, and financial support to insure underprivileged individuals have access to civil justice in the courts of our state,” said Chief Justice Weimer.

These appointments mark an exciting chapter in the college's ongoing efforts to enhance academic excellence and engage with the community effectively.

Louisiana gubernatorial candidates, including State Senator Sharon Hewitt, Hunter Lundy, State Representative Richard Nelson, Stephen Waguespack, and Shawn Wilson, Ph.D., were featured on a panel at Oil and Natural Gas Industry Day to provide their views on the future of the state’s energy industry.

The goals of the program are to provide career advice and mentorship to a student who may not have access to professionals in the career of their choice, and to forge a relationship with a local student, which can potentially lead to retention of that student as a professional in the Bayou Region.
