LWFC approved notices of intent for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 hunting seasons, 2023-24 general and Wildlife Management Areas (WMA) hunting seasons and rules and regulations, 2024 general and WMA turkey hunting season and rules and regulations and 2023-24 migratory bird hunting season and rules and regulations.

Automatic renewal is available for most hunting and fishing licenses. Auto-renew allows you to store payment information in the system and elect to have your license(s) renewed automatically every year.

“Good weather conditions throughout the season combined with relatively good reproduction in some management regions of the state the last two years are likely contributing factors to the harvest increase,” said Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Small Game Program Manager Cody Cedotal.

The goal of the program is to provide an excellent opportunity for anglers of all ages to catch and take home nice catfish. Congratulations to the winners!
