Nicholls political science major and criminal justice minor Lizeth Tobias-Garcia is part of the 15 college students selected to participate in the 2023 cohort of the Governor’s Fellows Program in Louisiana Government. 

The Nicholls Foundation received $500,000 from Mr. Lew Wilson and Linda Satterlee Myers to replace all exterior windows on Dr. O. Cleveland Hill Hall. The Myerses will receive the naming rights to the Department of Elementary Education in the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, which will become “The Linda Satterlee Myers and Lew Wilson Myers Department of Elementary Education.”

“This is a unique program by Chef John Folse that is sharing valuable knowledge with future leaders in the field of medicine,” said Dr. Craig Walker, founder, president and medical director at Cardiovascular Institute of the South.

Hall of Distinction candidates, who need not have attended or graduated from Nicholls, must have distinguished themselves in service and leadership by playing an active role in supporting Colonel Athletics.
