The Bayou Region Incubator and the Student Entrepreneur and Innovation Center was presented with over $110,000 in support at its grand opening. 

The conference will feature 25 presentations from faculty and students on diverse aspects of the bayou region, including historical communities, the French language, ecology and the environment, seafood species, public health, bayou literature, the Gulf Coast, and other areas of study.

After a physical 40 minutes were not enough to determine a winner between No. 3-seeded Nicholls and No. 2 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, the Colonels outscored the Islanders 12-4 in overtime for an 81-73 victory Tuesday night to advance to the title game of the 2024 Southland Conference Tournament.

“Our event is a unique fundraiser because we encourage visitors to create art. It also features special exhibitions of art and the art auction. Scholarship recipients who participate in Art Works get to express their appreciation for the funding they received and help promote public interest in art,” said Michael Williams, chair of the Art Works committee.
