"This particular concert is a benefit for Richard Cheramie, who recently went through chemotherapy radiation for throat cancer," explains an official post from Luminate Houma regarding the event. "He's still having issues with his heart and lungs. He's been in recovery for three years and can use all the help he can get. He's played with Halifax, Crush, Animal Cracker, and now Orange. Please consider donating while attending this concert."

There are currently 43 vendors signed up to attend the fair, all whose main purpose is to assist veterans with a variety of different needs. All veterans, whether associated with Fletcher Technical Community College or not, are welcome to attend the event.
