The Nicholls Foundation received a grant for two new side-by-side all-terrain vehicles, valued at $22,498, for Nicholls State University’s Department of University Police from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation®. At the event, Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department and Bayou Cane Fire Department announced their grants to receive new rescue boats, bringing the total community support to $79,601.

Nicholls State University hosted an official naming ceremony of its Lorio Softball Batting Facility. The Lorio Foundation donated $220,000 to the Nicholls State University softball program, covering the cost of phase one and two of the Softball Batting Cage Project. 

Keep Nicholls Beautiful is set to host a Love the Boot Day, which will include a Love the Boot Expo, a campus-wide cleanup, a bird feeder building activity and an outdoor HIIT class.

The production will feature the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra; Nicholls music majors and minors; Bridge to Independence students; Nicholls alumni and faculty; guest vocalists from LSU and Southern University and A&M College; and participants from surrounding parishes’ elementary, middle, and high schools.
