TPSO arrests Houma man on Attempted Murder charges

Arnold L. Hunt Jr., 87, of Houma, was arrested for charges of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder in connection with a disturbance complaint that occurred at a residence in the 100 block of Mona Kay Drive. Authorities determined that Hunt fired at least four shots inside the home, some of which were fired through a bathroom door where the victim was hiding.

Local organization donates special care items to help SVU victims

On Monday, a local group known as the Gamma Chapter of Kappa Kappa Iota, delivered stuffed animals and children’s books to the Special Victim’s Unit (SVU) of the TPSO. The items will be utilized and given to children that are encountered during the course of difficult investigations.

TPSO announces new Criminal Patrol Division

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet is pleased to highlight a recently formed division within the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, created to target a more enhanced concentration in our Patrol Division based operations.  The unit, formally known as the Criminal Patrol Division, has seen many changes since its nearly one-year inception, but the new division has come full circle to where it is today.
